by Sagar Makasare

MUMBAI, JULY 13, 2015: Boarders at Don Bosco, Matunga were treated to drawing and chart-making competitions, lightening tournaments, quizzes talent shows along with novena prayers to mark Savio week, which began on June 27 and ended on July 6.

The theme for the week-long celebration dedicated to Saint Dominic Savio was, 'Be young, be firm like Dominic Savio' and Father Bastin and Cl. Sagar Makasare ensured the youth had a week to remember.

The festivities were aimed at helping the boarders relive the values of Dominic Savio and also experience the ideals which Don Bosco had in mind for his boys at the oratory.

The celebrations ended with the feast and Savio Nite on July 6. Cl Nathaneal organised games to mark the night, on which house captains and teams were also appointed. The point system and 'star of the week' were also launched.

Each of the four teams: Rua, Savio, Magone and Cagliero, enacted skits on the life of the little saint.
