MUMBAI, JULY 16, 2015: The Don Bosco Educational Complex in Borivli commemorated the feast of Dominic Savio on July 3.
The day began with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist by the Rector Father William Falcao. He pointed out that it was a special day, as it was also the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Apostle Thomas.
Father Falcao added that the youth had a very significant role in society. He gave examples of the lives of Saint Dominic Savio and King David- both young lads who contributed significantly to their communities.
Father Falcao suggested Dominic Savio's route to achieving this goal: reciting the Rosary daily, going for confession, receiving the Holy Eucharist every day, staying cheerful and surrounding yourself by good companions.
The non-Christian staff and students, celebrated the feast with a special prayer service, where a video and a Power Point presentation on the life little Savio was screened.
Music, dancing, skits, a variety of games, scrumptious snacks were also part of the day's festivities.
