NAVI MUMBAI, AUGUST 12, 2015:  Cometh the monsoon and city dwellers take to the hills. Khandala and Lonavala – less than two hours away from Navi Mumbai – are favourite weekend getaways.

The staff of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul did just that. They headed to Khandala for their annual school picnic on August 17.

Father Anthony Fonseca, the Principal and 35 staff members reached House of Prayer- Jesus and Mary Convent on August 17. A day later they were joined by the rest of the staff.

On the first day, the group walked to Sunset Point and took in the breathtaking views on offer. Misty hills, mini waterfalls helped staff unwind from the hustle and bustle of regular city life. Post-dinner games kept the group entertained.

The entire group of revellers then headed to the popular Bushy Dam on the second day. After lunch, they met again in the convent hall where they danced and had a game of housie.

It was truly a picnic to remember!
