MUMBAI, SEP 1, 2015: Father McEnroe Lopes and Freddie Kosika conducted a special Value Education seminar for students of standard seven and eight in Don Bosco High School, Borivli on August 28.
Father Lopes addressed the catholic children; while Kosika focussed on children of other faiths.
Father Lopes began by invoking the Holy Spirit. He used imagery to put forth his message. He spoke about the eagle, a majestic bird, which sores high, despite its small frame.
He inspired students to be like an eagle, to fly high and to let go of negative behaviour in order to be better human beings.
He used PowerPoint presentations, videos, stories and action songs to make his point clear. The session ended with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
The session for students of other faiths encouraged them to be positive and to lead holy lives. It was stressed that this was possible only by having faith in God. Inspiring videos and songs were used to make it interesting.
The sessions were interactive and the students participated wholeheartedly.
