JAITALA, SEP 2, 2015: Students of St. Joseph Vidyalaya, Jaitala – Nagpur did the school proud when the Under 14 boys & Under 14 girls teams were honoured publicly on August 29 for lifting the inter-school 
football championship trophy at the District level.
Both the teams were awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- each at the hands of the District Sports Officer (DSO), Vijay Santhan.
A number of neighbouring schools, sports and government dignitaries were present at the felicitating ceremony held at Vidharbha Hockey Association Ground, Nagpur on a day the nation marked- National Sports Day.
The teams, and coach Father Cyril D'Souza and Ravi Gulsundare, were lauded for the efforts in clinching top honours in the tournament.
In his speech, Santhan informed those assembled about the new resolve of the District Sports Office to utilise the earmarked funds to encourage and promote sports in all the schools in the district.
