by BIS Correspondent

MUMBAI, SEP 8, 2015: The Science Club and the Nature club of Don Bosco High School, Borivli stepped up efforts to protect the environment by conducting special activities to promote the concept of waste management.

Diana Bijoy and Savlee Desai conducted the activity of segregation of dry waste and wet waste, in contribution towards protecting the environment.

The students placed separate bins for dry and wet waste respectively, on every floor of the school and in different areas of the school premises.

The dry waste is then recycled and the wet waste is used for making compost. The Science club has made a compost pit in the garden area, where the wet waste will be used to produce manure which will be used for the plants in the school.
