NAVI MUMBAI, OCT 17, 2015: Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul celebrated 'No School Bag Day' on October 15, in remembrance of late Former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Students spent the day with books in order to highlight the power of reading.
They were shown a Power Point presentation in the audio-visual room on the importance of books.
They were also shown inspirational video's on Dr. Kalam's life.
Children were then taken on a reading spree and read posters- displayed in the corridors-on the life and works of Don Bosco.
A group discussion followed. Finally, children were asked to pen down what inspired them the most during the days events.
They went home with fond memories of a great leader of our nation, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
