MUMBAI, NOV 16, 2015: The nation celebrated the 126th birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on November 14. To mark the day, Shelter Don Bosco at Wadala celebrated Children's day, along with the youth from neighbouring slums.
120 boys and girls joined hands for the celebration, which began at 10am and ended – with lunch – at 1pm. The day began with a prayer service, wherein the children were made aware of the importance of the day through a video. They then broke out to play at the various fete stalls.
At around 11am, the youth assembled in the hall for a talent show display. Many students came up on stage to show their talents. A short prayer was then said, before the children headed for lunch. Each child was given a gift at the end of the celebration.
