NAVI MUMBAI, FEB 3, 2016: The students and staff of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul celebrated the Feast of Saint Don Bosco by enacting skits, dances and singing songs in honour 
of the beloved Saint on January 30.
In preparation to the Feast, the novena was observed in the school from January 22. Powerpoint presentations, based on the life of Salesian Saints - Laura Vicuna and Michael Magone - helped impart the value of chastity, poverty and obedience among the students .
On January 30, the programme started after Holy Mass at 8.30 am, with dignitaries lighting a lamp. It was followed by a video on 'The work of the Salesians' that highlighted the service provided by the religious congregation in various fields for the upliftment of poor and needy.
The tiny tots of pre-primary then enthralled the audience with a dance performance. A skit entitled 'The memory of the Salesians of Bombay province' based on the book 'The Memory' was enacted by the students of the secondary section. The skit highlighted the difficulties faced by the early Salesians and their struggle to establish a Bombay province. The principal – Father Anthony Fonseca – the teachers and students praised students for their effort. As the programme came to an end, singer's enchanted the audience with the song 'You Believe'. Teacher Annie Gomez proposed the Vote of thanks.
The principal then spoke about the contribution of Father Aurelius Maschio in building up the Salesian province. The students understood the unshakable faith of Salesian missionaries that helped them to continue with the worldwide mission of serving the young people. The programme was organised by teachers – Annie Gomez, Francis D' souza, Brijlal Prajapathi and Asma Shaikh, under the guidance of their supervisor Cleona Quasars.
