by Ashwini Gupte

MUMBAI, JUN 20, 2016: Don Bosco High School, Matunga celebrates its 75th Jubilee in this academic year 2016-2017. Rejuvenated after the long summer break, the spirited young boys returned to their school on June 15, to bring in the historic celebrations. The school was officially established on October 31, 1941.

Every auspicious beginning is marked with invocation of the Almighty. Students joined together to pray at the Holy Eucharistic celebration and at the prayer service conducted by the students of Class X A.

The boys explained the importance of recognising God's presence in our midst at all times, through their presentation, 'The Power Of Prayer Lives On.'

Rector, Father Wilfred D'Souza, urged the boys to form in themselves a spirit of prayer, to live at all times in the presence of God and consequently, to find peace and the confidence to successfully carry out their tasks.

Father D'Souza declared the theme for the academic year, 'Don Bosco Lives On' at the school assembly. He was joined by the Principal, Father Bernard Fernandes.

The school management and teachers went on to attend the rector's conference, where Father D'Souza spoke of the timeless teachings of the school Founder, Don Bosco and their school which celebrates 75 glorious years!
