WALVANDA, SEP 1, 2016: Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS) has played a vital role in improving the sanitation of the tribal villages through the construction of 100 toilets in 16 hamlets of Jawhar Taluka.
The programme was implemented in collaboration with the India Infoline Finance Limited, Mumbai. A BSVS team identified the beneficiaries for the programme, before a Pune based firm constructed the toilets between the months of April to June 2016.
Since the construction, several requests have been made for more such toilets to be constructed. Several Gram Panchayat members and government officials visited these villages to see the new toilet blocks.
Block Development Officer of Jawhar, Sunil Kumar Pattare asked Father Anaclete D'Mello, for the organisation's support to construct more toilets in various villages of Jawhar Taluka.
