BIS #4963 DIWALI DHAMAKA

by Father Kiran Salve

WALVANDA, OCT 27, 2016: Around 250 children – from Jawahar and Mokhada blocks - attended a three-day long Diwali Dhamaka that began on October 26 till 29 at Walvanda.

The Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS) youth and career guidance team came up with the idea of starting Diwali Dhamaka.

Father Anaclete D'Mello stressed on the importance of being happy in his opening address. The community of BSVS Walvanda has a dream of reaching out to people of the area and the mela helped them do just that.

The main reason for organising the programme was to make children happy in the Don Bosco Spirit. The BSVS seeks to inform the youth of the work of Don Bosco and his system.

The team also aims to give children the opportunity to express themselves at various levels. By cultivating a spirit of friendship with children, the community wants to reach out to people efficiently.

Father Rixson Nigrel and Sebastian Francis were instrumental in planning the event.
