BIS #4971 VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

NAVI MUMBAI, NOV 7, 2016: The students of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Nerul participated in the Vigilance Awareness Week 2016 organised by CIDCO. It was a three day programme from November 2-4, spreading awareness about corruption through street plays.

The inaugural ceremony took place on the morning of November 2 at CIDCO Bhavan, CBD Belapur. It commenced with the oath-taking ceremony by all the participants and staff of CIDCO Bhavan. 

"We were one of the privileged colleges to perform our skit at this ceremony," a  student of class nine said. 

The students of standard nine of  Don Bosco Senior Secondary School performed on the streets of Navi Mumbai covering the entire stretch from Belapur to Airoli. During these three days, they performed at local markets, malls, parks and railway stations. Information leaflets were distributed after every performance.  

The end of the Vigilance Awareness Week was marked by a closing ceremony at CIDCO Bhavan on the evening of November 4. All participants given a certificate and a trophy.  "The experience we had, is something to remember," a participant, Lakshita said.

"This initiative taught us how important we, the youth of India can be in making a change," Melton, another student of Don Bosco said.
