NASHIK, JULY 4, 2017: The solemnity of the Saints Peter and Paul each year unites the faithful with the Holy Father Pope Francis in prayer. This year, as a symbol of gratitude and reverence, 13 Salesian novices and nine FMA novices participated in an Internovitiate Papal Quiz on June 29.
Father Kenneth Pereira, the novice master of the community at the Salesian Training Institute (STI), organised the quiz, which began with a video in which Pope Francis urges young seminarians and novices to be 'People of Cheer'. Five creative rounds of knowledge kept all enthralled till the last question.
The teams were named after the Holy Fathers in the past, however one team was named, Pope Bosco Fan Club, in the hope that in the future, the Saint of the youth, St John Bosco would be honoured with the title of a Pope!
Father Pereira and Sister Salome, the FMA novice mistress thanked everyone involved for the coming of the two novitiates. Sister Jennifer, a FMA novice said, "The whole quiz was multimedia wise and presented questions in a new format. We are grateful."
