PUNE, JULY 7, 2017: Almost 200 young leaders from Don Bosco School and Junior College in Pune participated in the Investiture Ceremony on July 6, the day marked for celebrating the Feast of St. Dominic Savio Feast, at the institution.
The day began with the celebration of Holy Mass by Father Ajay D'Monte. For the non-catholics a prayer service was held which focused on the virtues of the Little Saint and how students could imbibe the same in their lives. It helped answer questions like, 'What is God', 'What is sin', 'Why should parents be obeyed'.
The second part of the celebration was the investiture ceremony. School captains, vice captains and the monitors were announced. Father Michael Bansode, the Rector, Father Bosco D'Mello, the principal, and Father Ajay D'Monte, the parish priest, led the oath-taking ceremony and invested the young leaders with ties as a symbol of their responsibility.
"A leader is the one who has a vision for his community, may you be the righteous leader," Father Bansode, said.
