BIS #5206 GOOD OLD SCHOOL DAYS

SAVEDI, AUG 28, 2017: Twenty-six past pupils from Don Bosco Vidyalaya, Savedi, Ahmednagar attended the annual general body meeting on August 26 to elect alumnii representatives for the next year.

 

The meeting themed 'Friends of Youth', brought past pupils together to reminisce over the years gone by. The meeting began at 11.00am with the recitation of world Past Pupils prayer and promise in Marathi- translated by the teachers of the institution.

 

Sagar Shewale, Yogesh Miragar, Prajakta Jadav and Rohini Mene were elected as the past pupils representatives. Roles and responsibilities of the office bearers will be done in the coming days.

 

A power point presentation prepared by past pupils helped the audience to reflect on fond memories shared by students at the institution. There was laughter and fun and sharing of old memories. 


Vikas Patil, a past pupil, working for the Pardhi Samaj children and  Mahesh Markat, working with the Snehalaya organisation for orphans and underprivileged shared the experiences of their schooling days.

 

Javed Khan, another alumni, who has changed his name to Javeda Zindgai in a bid to put humanity over his caste and religion, shared his views on the importance of peaceful co-existence of humanity. Khan has also named his son, 'Mansa' meaning human. A group discussion followed and staff of the institution were present to interact with the alumni.
