LONAVLA, JULY 13, 2018: Noted author Warren Bennis once said, 'Leadership is the capacity to turn vision into reality'. Youth leaders from Don Bosco High School in Lonavla came to the fore on July 13, for their solemn Investiture Ceremony.

Sunil Taware, the BJP vice president of Lonavla, was the guest of honour.  A colourful backdrop, read, 'Leadership comes in CANS: I Can! You Can! We Can!' and it set the tone for the proceedings.

The student leaders were bestowed with the responsibility of leading the school. They were conferred with sashes and badges by the chief guest and handed flags, a symbolic representation of handing over responsibility to the new office bearers.

The new leaders took an oath to uphold the ethos and the motto of the school, 'Virtus Incendit Vires' in high esteem. They promised that they would carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence.

The chief guest along with the principal congratulated the newly elected council members and stressed on the significance of setting priorities and aiming high. The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Ruth Dethe, principal of the school, followed by the school anthem.
