BIS #5624 THANK YOU BHUMI

 by Brother Jittin Mathew

MUMBAI, SEP 3, 2018: Borivli-based Bosco Boys Home (BBH) joined forces with Bhumi, one of India's largest independent and youth volunteer NGOs, to help provide children with quality education and facilities needed to accomplish their goals.

Bosco Boys Home in collaboration with Bhumi organised study classes for the children - with the help of six volunteers - for the subjects of English, maths, and science. The teaching programme was arranged for the students from standard five to eight. Each volunteer was assigned to a particular group whom they had to teach. The volunteers spent around two hours teaching the students.
"The learning experience is mutual: we as volunteers gain perspective and the experience to mould these children into tomorrow's leaders, as we spend time teaching them," Payal Shah, a volunteer, said. Salim Sheik, a boy at BBH, added, "I am very much grateful to Bhumi. Thank you for helping me learn science, one of the tough subjects I face."
