AURANGABAD, NOVEMBER 30, 2018: Father Godfrey D’Souza, the Provincial of the Salesian province of Mumbai, visited Don Bosco Waluj, Aurangabad from November 29 to 30, as part of his canonical visit.
The visitation began with the opening conference and Eucharistic celebration. At 9:30 am, he was solemnly welcomed by the staff of Don Bosco Waluj. He addressed the gathering, after which he had a meeting with the social staff and Value Education programme teachers, in which he interacted with them by asking them about their work, difficulties, and challenges they encounter.
Later in the evening, Father D’Souza visited Father George Paul, the parish priest of Saint Alphonsa Church, Waluj. The following day Father Provincial made a trip to the interior villages of Gangapur taluka. He visited two villages, namely Padampur and Dhoregaon, where the staff was conducting Value Education programmes. He also interacted with the children and gave them sweets.
Later, he visited Pimplewadi village and met the women of the Self Help Groups. He interacted with them and discussed their problems and challenges. Father Provincial also visited Bishop Ambrose Rebello of the Aurangabad diocese. The visitation of the Provincial ended with a concluding conference with the community of Don Bosco Waluj.
