LONAVLA, FEB 20, 2019: The Provincial Chapter of the Mumbai province (PC 2019) continued at Don Bosco Lonavla on February 20 - day three - by lifting praise to God at the Holy Eucharist presided by Father Anton D’Souza.
In his homily, Father D’Souza spoke of ‘our (Salesian) mission in collaboration with the laity’. He stressed that Salesians, as sons of Don Bosco must follow in his footsteps and liaison with their lay collaborators.
The morning session of day three began with the Roll call. The Secretary of PC 2019, Father Vinod Mascarenhas read the minutes of day two.
Commission 2 presented the second draft of the paper entitled ‘Profile of the Salesian Today’. The assembly deliberated the draft.
Commission 3 then presented the second draft of the paper entitled ‘Shared Mission Between Salesians and Laity’. The draft was discussed and adequate responses were recorded.
In the afternoon session, the Juridical Commission presented the second draft of the paper ‘Juridical Matters’. Important topics were put through a straw vote and agreed upon.
PC 2019 then had a look at the Universal Apostolic Preferences for the next decade by the Jesuit General Council.
The election for the delegates and the substitutes for GC 28 took place. The day three of PC 2019 ended with Adoration and prayer.
