LONAVLA, MAY 20, 2019: One hundred and twenty-three youth attended the annual Vocation Camp organised by the Salesian Province of Mumbai from May 2 to 12 at Don Bosco, Lonavla.
Several resource persons conducted sessions on different Salesian themes every day. The sessions included animated prayer, games, activities, competitions for the campers which were exciting, entertaining, and moments of learning.
The campers responded positively and participated in everything. The main theme for the Vocation Camp was ‘Journeying with Don Bosco’. The highlights of the camp were the Savio Night celebration on the feast of St. Dominic Savio and the Grand Camp Fire.
The youth also went to the Rosary Garden in Khandala to pray the Holy Rosary. There was trekking organised with treasure hunts to add to the excitement. There was also an outreach programme organised to give the campers a hands-on experience of sacrificing oneself to help the needy.
The campers got a taste of the daily life in Don Bosco Lonavla, which is the Aspirantate of the Province of Mumbai. The camp ended successfully with all the campers carrying beautiful memories with them and enriched in the spirit of Don Bosco.
